With over 84% of Kenya’s land arid and semi-arid, water scarcity, climate change impacts, and land
degradation pose dire challenges. This project aims to break this cycle by empowering women-led
grassroots networks. By reforestation, sustainable agriculture, and improved land management, it
enhances climate resilience and reduces emissions.
Through education and income generation, it curbs
migration, upholds school attendance, and promotes gender equity. This transformational initiative
addresses pressing issues: water and food security, rural poverty, climate adaptation, and education
disruption.
The project collaborates with active women and youth groups, fostering market linkages,
and influencing policies. With an approach embedded in environmental consciousness and gender
equality, it resonates with Swirl Water Solutions’ commitment to holistic and sustainable solutions.
