Youth Empowerment Project

Nakuru, Kenya

Nakuru County is pivotal to Kenya’s economy but faces critical water supply issues affecting livelihoods
and health due to waterborne diseases. This venture is a partnership between Swirl Water Solutions,
Wild Geese Foundation, Basic Water Needs, and Seed Savers Network seek to transform Nakuru’s
water landscape.

By establishing a local water purification and bottling facility, the project addresses
immediate clean water needs while creating job opportunities for youth. The initiative extends beyond
clean bottled water, with the distribution network encompassing affordable household water filtration
solutions like Tabletop Water Filters. As Nakuru contends with population growth and climate change,
this project aligns with the national goal of ensuring accessible and uncontaminated drinking water for
all.
